U8-U10 Academy

Program Information

The CSC Academy is focused on introducing young players to professional coaching and technical development. The training environment is perfect for U8-U10 players who love the game of soccer and are motivated to learn new skills under the guidance of licensed coaching staff. Players are encouraged to additionally participate in the CSC Recreation Program to experience regular game play.

Program Goals & Mission.

The CSC Academy prioritizes player development above all else, aiming to cultivate athletes capable of excelling at the travel level and beyond. Our commitment lies in fostering comprehensive growth, encompassing both on-the-field skills and personal development. We strive to enhance technical skill, game sense, instill a strong work ethic, and ignite a deep, lifelong passion for the sport. We believe in cultivating a supportive club culture, where each player feels valued and empowered to reach their fullest potential.

Players will be guided through a collection of activities that introduce them to the skills and practice them in a safe and supportive environment. Once the skills have been practiced, they will have an opportunity to execute them in game-like activities. These activities will include small-sided games in both 4v4 and 7v7 match-type games.

Curriculum

Dribbling for possession (changes of direction, shielding)
Dribbling for penetration (attacking moves such as scissors, Matthews, step-overs, etc)
First touch
Passing
Goalscoring, finishing and ball-striking
Goalkeeping

U8 Academy is for players born in 2017 & 2018
U9 Academy is for players born in 2016
U10 Academy is for players born in 2015
Wednesday Training Sessions | Culpeper Sports Complex | 5:30pm - 6:30pm
Professional Weekly Training Sessions with Licensed Coaching Staff
